Gastroenterologist

Dr. Kutty is a board-certified Gastroenterologist known for compassionate, evidence-based care grounded in patient education and shared decision-making. She is the Medical Director at San Jose Gastroenterology. Her clinical interests include colorectal cancer screening and prevention, inflammatory bowel disease, the GI microbiome, fatty liver disease and gut motility disorders.

Dr. Kutty graduated with honors from D.Y. Patil Medical College in Pune, India, and was named Outstanding Student of the Year. She completed Internal Medicine residency at John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County in Chicago, followed by a dedicated IBD research year at the University of Chicago. She completed her Gastroenterology and Hepatology fellowship at the University of Utah in 2018 and gained advanced endoscopy training, including ERCP. She received the Excellence in Teaching Award.

She has published in peer-reviewed journals and presented at national and international meetings. She is fluent in English, Hindi, Gujarati and Malayalam.

In her free time, Dr. Kutty enjoys hiking, skiing, and traveling with her family.
